Man charged in slaying for which another man served 16 years

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Authorities have announced the arrest of a new suspect in a rape and murder more than three decades ago for which another man served 16 years in prison before he was exonerated by DNA evidence. Catholic Priest suspended amid sexual abuse allegations

By: Lauren Hensley ALTOONA, Pa.-- Altoona-Johnstown Diocese confirms a Somerset County priest, Martin Cingle, has been suspended as they investigate allegations concerning sex abuse of a minor dating back to 2002. According to the Diocese, Cingle has been an ordained priest since 1973. He has served at about a dozen parishes throughout central Pennsylvania. Most recently father Cingle served as pastor at All Saints Parish in Boswell and Saint Anne Parish in Davidsville. Read More...

Coroner identifies woman killed in Woodbury post office fire

WOODBURY, Pa. (WJAC) — Authorities have identified the woman killed in the fire that destroyed the Woodbury Post Office last weekend. Bedford County Coroner Rusty Styer says 64-year-old Cynthia Louise Albright died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries. The fire started around 6:30 p.m. on Independence Day, ripping through the post office, and apartments above, located on Main Street. Styer says Albright was a Woodbury resident.
