Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — A Johnstown-area man accused of shooting and killing a local high schooler on New Year's Day will soon head to trial.
On Wednesday, a preliminary hearing was held for 21-year-old Qwante Rose, who was charged in September in the shooting death of 19-year-old Jaydin Sanderson.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa (WJAC) — According to a university release, all Penn State police officers will now be equipped with body cams, beginning Monday, May 17th.
Officials say this decision allows Penn State police to be more transparent and accountable, and also helps support safety for both the officers and the community.

ELK COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Friday night, St. Marys City Council voted against a proposed mobile methadone clinic.
Methadone is a medication used to treat those addicted to opioids.
Council voted 4-3 against bringing a mobile methadone clinic that would have been operated by Discovery House CU, LLC.
Council member Shane Schneider voted in favor of the clinic.
He said Discovery House officials presented evidence as to why the clinic should be allowed to operate in the city. Read More...
