Authorities say a 16-year-old Ridgway girl has been charged with stabbing another juvenile.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 12:32 a.m. on July 8, Chelse Kurtz, of Elk Avenue, reportedly stabbed a 15-year-old girl in her abdomen near Center Street in Ridgway Borough.
The stabbing took place during an altercation between the two girls, according to the affidavit.
Officials say the victim was flown to UPMC Altoona where she underwent surgery for damage to her internal organs. Read More...

The student, identified as A.C., competes in track and field for the Harrison County School District.
