CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — The rain didn't stop Makensey Bechel, a senior at Portage Area High School, from walking in the rain. "I have my umbrella with me in case it rains," she told 6 News. It was for the Autism Walk & Resource Fair hosted by L&I's Hiram G. Andrews Center in Upper Yoder Township. California diocese to file for bankruptcy amid surge in clergy abuse claims

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) — The bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno says the diocese plans to file for bankruptcy in a matter of months. That's following what it calls a "surge" in clergy sexual abuse claims. The California sexual abuse and Cover-up Accountability Act helped bring the number of credible accusations within the Diocese of Fresno to 154 cases, dating back decades.
