Central Cambria school board presents options for consolidation

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — The Central Cambria school board is weighing its options on how to proceed regarding a possible consolidation. A feasibility study was made available to the public Monday evening, highlighting the district’s options moving forward. The school board says option 1 is to continue to operate both elementary schools at status quo, which officials say would require a tax increase through 2026. Option 2 would include integrating grades 3rd through 5th at Cambria Elementary, which the feasibility study found would save the district just shy of $500,000 in the first year alone and would come with a smaller tax increase than option 1.
