CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities say charges have been filed against a Cambria County woman accused of hoarding nearly 60 cats.
On March 11th, 58 cats were removed from 67-year-old Karen Turgeon’s Krayn Road home in Adams Township.
Police say the cats were found locked in a small bedroom and were covered in urine and feces.
Police say that almost all of the cats were also severely matted and required veterinary care.
According to online court records, Turgeon is charged with multiple misdemeanors for animal cruelty and animal neglect.
She has a bail hearing scheduled for June 5th.
