CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Northern Cambria say an area chiropractor is facing charges, accused of groping a 17-year-old male patient.
According to the affidavit, police were contact in late April after a woman reported that her son had been sexually assaulted during a chiropractic appointment.
Police say the victim accused Dr. Robine Elias of inappropriately touching him and making various sexual comments during a visit at his office, which is located in Northern Cambria Borough.
Upon further investigation, police say the teen disclosed two incident of alleged inappropriate contact by Dr. Elias.
Authorities say during the first alleged encounter, the teen stated that Dr. Elias made him lay on his back, and then began "rubbing" his legs and "touched" his genitals.
Police say the teen noted that he "felt very uncomfortable" but thought that the encounter was accidental.
Investigators say that during the second encounter, the victim was reportedly with a sibling and stated that Dr. Elias once again made him lay on his back.
Police say Dr. Elias again reportedly began "grabbing" the victim in his groin area, and then allegedly made comments to the victim that he would "make a good porn star."
Authorities say the victim's sibling reportedly witnessed the inappropriate contact, as well as lewd comments that were allegedly made.
Police say after the appointment, Dr. Elias allegedly gave the victim and his sibling money to go buy food.
Upon further investigation, police learned that both boys would reportedly contact Dr. Elias, via text message, whenever they were coming to his office for an adjustment.
Police noted that this was unusual and added that the messages showed evidence of "grooming behaviors" by Dr. Elias.
According to online court records, Dr. Elias was arraigned late last week on charges of child endangerment, harassment and indecent assault without consent.
He has since posted bail.
