Somerset woman used young son to peddle drugs

By: Maria Miller SOMERSET, Pa. -- A Somerset County mother is in jail accused of sending her own young son on a drug deal. Authorities said it happened in an alley about five blocks away from their house, this past summer. Police say they found the boy sitting on his bike in an alley, waiting with prescription pills. According to documents filed against Lisa Henry Thursday, undercover informants under the surveillance of Somerset County drug task force detectives first stopped at Henry's South Ankeny Avenue home back in June to purchase prescription drugs. 3 teen girls escape academy for at-risk youth; found in stolen van on PA Turnpike in Somerset Co.

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities say three teen girls are facing charges after they reportedly escaped from a Pittsburgh-area facility for at-risk youth earlier this month and then were found driving a stolen work van along the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Police say on Dec. 1, the teens reportedly escaped from New Outlook Academy and then stole a white, Chevrolet work van from the Brentwood area.
