It's Howard Charles Smith’s sixth trip to state prison in Florida. Clearfield County man charged in teen's overdose death

A Clearfield County man is facing charges for allegedly supplying drugs to a teenager who overdosed and died. On Aug. 3, 2022, the 14-year-old boy was pronounced dead at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. According to a probable-cause affidavit, the boy was a co-worker and friend of 36-year-old Dennis Demoss, of Munson. According to the affidavit, on July 28, 2022, Demoss supplied the boy with fentanyl, and the teen overdosed at Demoss’ Hardscrabble Road home. Read More...
