LAKE PANASOFFKEE, Fla. (TND) — It took three years, but a man convicted of hitting a motorcyclist in a bit of road rage and then driving away has started serving his latest prison sentence.
It's Howard Charles Smith’s sixth trip to state prison in Florida.
The victim told a sheriff’s deputy the guy who hit him was driving a brown Chevy Blazer SUV, and he “displayed road rage-type behavior.”

WASHINGTON (7News) — About 33 arrests were made after D.C. Police cleared out an encampment early Wednesday morning by several pro-Palestinian protesters who occupied George Washington University's campus for nearly two weeks. A Clearfield County man is facing charges for allegedly supplying drugs to a teenager who overdosed and died.
On Aug. 3, 2022, the 14-year-old boy was pronounced dead at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, the boy was a co-worker and friend of 36-year-old Dennis Demoss, of Munson.
According to the affidavit, on July 28, 2022, Demoss supplied the boy with fentanyl, and the teen overdosed at Demoss’ Hardscrabble Road home. Read More...
