Parents, community members voice opposition to potential closure of Jackson Elementary

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A public comment meeting was held at Central Cambria High School Monday night as the district considers closing a long-time elementary school. Over 100 community members visited Central Cambria to voice their opinions on the potential elementary school consolidation. 2018 Pa. elk hunt kicks off in Benezette

BENEZETTE — The 2018 Pennsylvania elk hunt kicked off Monday with its check station at a new location. The check station is located at the Keystone Elk Country Visitor Center on Homestead Drive in Benezette. "We chose the Visitor Center because it just seemed to be a good location and a spot where we had plenty of parking," said Information and Education Supervisor Mike Steingraber.
